EMA completed? and still 6 bits of chocolate left! | writtenbysamantha

What a day! ?So to complicate my already complicated life, tomorrow is the end date for submission of the EMA (End of module assessment). ?The Advanced Creative Writing course (A363) with the Open University has been amazing. ?I do believe my writing has really improved and my confidence in myself with it!

The EMA was submitted a few moments ago and even now I am wondering if my commentary was enough. ?It is the one element of the course I really did not like. ?Commenting on how I came to write what I did feels a bit too much like hard work! ha ha ha.

Earlier tonight I also found a piece of paper that I knew I had but could not find where I thought it should be ? the obvious place. ?I have too many pieces of paper waiting to be filed. ?This piece just happened to be my eldest son (DS1) original Irish Foreign Births Entry certificate. ?Why you may ask do I need this. ?Well DS1 has managed to loose his Irish Passport. ?He flies home on 2nd June from South Africa and on a one way ticket! ?Without an emergency Irish travel document he would not be allowed to enter the UK!

So, along with the stress of work, where we have not only gone live with updated browse and order points in stores but also a host of change requests and an updated mobile site, I had to contend with DS2 not speaking to me and DS1 loosing his passport and passing his stress to me! ?Motherhood, eh!

Now with the fact that I have no more studies until September I am wondering how I will spend my time. ?the obvious way would be to actually file all the scattered paperwork so in future I know where it all is but that does not sound at all entertaining! ?Instead I think I will simply read for pleasure? no more critical reading or reading for work? I fancy a good session with a few books! ?Any suggestions?

After my trip to the Irish Embassy in London tomorrow morning I think everything on my plate will be sorted. ?Provided my DS1 gets to the Embassy in Pretoria on Friday with all the relevant documents and photo?s then he should find a copy of his birth cert faxed through (courtesy of the London embassy) and will hopefully 99% guaranteed be issued with an emergency travel document to get him home!

Here is to all my fellow A363 peers ? hope you have all managed to get through the stress and tension of the EMA and wont fret too much for the long wait till we get our results ? August! Phew!!!!
