Chinese cyber-hackers targeting companies and governments around the world are working out of a Peoples Liberation Army base and are likely to be taking their orders from army officers, a report into cyber-hacking has found.
The report by Mandiant, a US computer security firm, provides the notoriously elusive ?smoking gun? linking China?s military to the onslaught of international cyber attacks.
The company tracked members of the most sophisticated Chinese hacking group, known as the Comment Crew or the Shanghai Group, to a 12 storey office block in Shanghai. The building, set in a run down suburb set amongst massage parlours,
