EACH year Toowoomba State High School Mt Lofty and Wilsonton principal Christopher Zilm looks on youthful, energetic faces that are ready to challenge their future and are ready for anything.
Mr Zilm spoke at the high school's award ceremony held on Thursday night.
He told the graduating students how proud of them he was and congratulated them on their achievements and graduation.
"Since 2003, as principal of Toowoomba High School - this unique school with two vibrant campuses, it has been my absolute pleasure to get to know our young people and track their progress," he said.
"Hearing how things have worked out, reading about adventures on Facebook and even taking tours of our school at reunions, it is always wonderful to learn how dreams have come true."
Mr Zilm said 2012 was an extraordinarily special year for the school with the inaugural cohort of Year 12 students completing their secondary studies at the Wilsonton Campus.
"I am very proud of our community, the enthusiasm and support shown for our young people, the outcomes and journeys, innovation and traditions of our school," he said.
"These things are created for you and by you - and you have done a great job being great Year 12s, great students, great attenders, and being you. I feel privileged to know you and have enjoyed being with you on this journey.
"As you go out into the world remember where you come from and the expectations and dreams we have for you. Every year Toowoomba High produces a graduating class with incredible successes and achievements, potential and hope. This year, you, the class of 2012, has raised the achievement bar and quite simply put, been amazing.
"I wish the class of 2012 the very best for the future - a future filled with happiness, hope and adventure.
"To us you will never be any older or more excited or less wonderful."
