I was in a car accident and was hurt pretty bad. My brother told me to forego the insurance companies and hire a Seattle personal injury attorney. I went to a rather prominent lawyer and asked him what I should do. He asked for all the details and got a copy of the police report before he would give me an answer. I was shocked when he told me his plan. I had always thought people got a lot of money for this type of situation and told him I wanted him to ask for more money. He told me that was not a good idea, but I persisted. When it all went to trial, the jury determined I was just being greedy and decided to give me a fraction of what I was asking. It was even less than what the lawyer had said to try for. If I had listened to him I would not have come off as so greedy and would have gotten more money.
